Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Window Savvy collects when you use our quote form, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to get in touch about your data.

Last updated: July 2026.

Who we are

Window Savvy (“we”, “us”) is an independent information service that helps UK homeowners avoid common double glazing buyer mistakes and compare quotes from vetted local installers. We are the data controller for the information you submit through this website. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us using the details in the “How to contact us” section below.

What we collect

When you complete our quote form we collect the details you provide:

We also automatically collect marketing attribution information so we understand which campaign brought you here. This includes the campaign source and medium, UTM values, advertising click identifiers (for example Google’s gclid or Meta’s fbclid/fbc), the page you first landed on, your browser’s user-agent string and your IP address. Some of this is stored in first-party cookies — see our cookie policy for details.

How we use your information

We use your details to arrange the free, no-obligation window quotes you asked for. In practice this means:

Our lawful basis

We process your details on the basis of your request — you submitted the form asking us to arrange quotes — and our legitimate interest in operating the service and connecting you with a relevant installer. There is no separate consent tickbox: submitting the form is your agreement to be contacted about your enquiry in line with this policy.

Who we share it with

Qualified enquiries are passed to a matched local installer who can provide your quotes. We may also use trusted service providers who help us run the website and process enquiries on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry details for as long as needed to arrange your quotes and for our own record-keeping, and no longer than 24 months after your enquiry unless we are required to keep them longer for legal or accounting reasons. Marketing attribution cookies expire after 90 days.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict our processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

How to contact us

To exercise any of your rights, or to ask a question about how we handle your data, write to our data protection contact: email privacy@ followed by this website’s domain (the address shown in your browser). We will respond within one month. You can also reply to any message we send you about your enquiry.
