Cookie policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Window Savvy uses, what they do, and how long they last.

Last updated: July 2026.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use your browser’s local storage in the same way. We use them to remember where your visit came from so that any enquiry you make is correctly attributed to the right advertising campaign.

Cookies we set

When you land on Window Savvy we set first-party wml_* cookies that record marketing attribution information — the campaign and source that brought you here. These store values such as UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content), advertising click identifiers (for example gclid, fbc/fbp) and the page you first arrived on. The same values may also be kept in your browser’s local storage so attribution survives you moving around the site or returning later.

Tag manager and analytics cookies

We may in future enable Google Tag Manager to manage analytics and advertising tags. When that happens, those tags may set their own cookies (for example Google Analytics _ga cookies, or advertising cookies such as Meta’s _fbp/_fbc). At present these tags are included in the site but switched off, so no such cookies are set until we enable them — and this policy will be updated to list them when we do.

Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to block them. Because our wml_* cookies only handle attribution, blocking them will not stop the quote form working — it may just mean an enquiry is not credited to the campaign that referred you.
